I have always loved photographs.
As a little girl, I spent most weekends at my grandparents' house completely absorbed in the dozens of framed collections that lined their guest room walls. I watched myself grow up there. I witnessed my parents falling in love. I saw my grandmother laugh at her own wedding.
When my grandmother died in 2012, more amazing photographs surfaced, both bittersweet and beautiful. In one of my favorites, my father was one year old, bathing in his parent's sink. My great-grandmother stood nearby laughing as a parakeet had perched itself on my father's head. I know the details of their kitchen, my great-grandmothers joyous laughter, her impeccable taste in clothing...
Without photographs, these brief moments would have passed and vanished. Details would blur and eventually be forgotten. With pictures, we can experience and re-experience events in ways that would otherwise be impossible.

As a photographer and an elementary school social worker, I am passionate about helping young people navigate the difficulties of youth and find happiness in their true, authentic selves. My position has given me a great appreciation for children and their unique strengths and personalities, and photography serves as an ideal platform for capturing and celebrating that individuality.
Needless to say, I absolutely love (LOVE!) portrait photography, and I am 100% committed to working closely with you to capture memories that you will cherish for a lifetime.

A personal reflection:
Beauty is everywhere. It is not rooted in perfection. It does not stem from luck. Rather, beauty reveals itself when vision meets perspective and we trade in our judgements for curiosity and awe.
